William was born between 1802 and 1806. He married Jemima WILLIAMS on 14 March 1826 at Brading on the Isle of Wight. They had three children between 1831 and 1841. At the census of 1841 he was employed as a stone mason by Mr. Dashwood of Ryde, building a new church in Andover for the architect Mr. Livesey. The family was living at Alpha Place, Andover, Hampshire. William died at 17.30 on 3 June 1842, when the north wall of the clerestory collapsed causing the roof to fall on him.
