Clara COLLIS (1844 - )

Clara was born in about 1844 at Weston super Mare, Somerset to Henry COLLIS and Frances (Fanny) TAYLOR.

She is shown as living at the family home of 4 Crescent, Weston super Mare, Somerset in the 1851 census, and at 30 High Street, Weston super Mare, Somerset during the 1871 census when she was apprenticed to an upholsterer.

She moved to Portsmouth in Hampshirewith the rest of the family in about 1874 and she is shown as resident in the new family home of 24 Kings Terrace, Portsmouth, at the 1881 census.

Clara took over joint proprietorship of the families Turkish Baths business with her sister Kate COLLIS on the death of their father Henry on 10 May 1891.
